Location

Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center, spend all day long to travel to Monkey mountain located on the top of Khao Takiad hill in the South of Hua Hin province could be one of the memorable moment of peace to refresh visitors’ mind. 

One of the distinctive features there is that there are a huge number of macaque monkeys, therefore this site owns the renown name “Monkey mountain”.

What to

From the stating point, nearby restaurants, travelers will look up to the 20-meters golden Buddha statue.  

When climbing on the top of the Khao Takiab hill is where the Wat Khao Lad temple located. When coming to the temple, tourists can release the stress from working, studying, daily life, etc, to write what they wish for the upcoming period on tiny golden or white bells and hang it with the chain. After that, visitors will ring a golden big central bell to finish their wish. 

On the route, adventures will take sightseeing tour to enjoy the stunning wildlife natural landscape. Because one side of the mountain is the huge peaceful beach, a beach and mountain panoramic will be observed on the top of Khao Takiad. It could ba a breath-taking view, especially  on sunrise or sunset.

A litlle bit far from there, tourists also can take a quick tour to explore a Chinese temple.

If tourists have more time in Monkey mountain in Hua Hin, Thailand, they can walk around and visit the daily activities of host communities in a fishing village.

Restaurants

That is the best time for tourists to enjoy meals, in particularly seafood dishes in the restaurants overlooking to the sea view.  In case of visitors just want to go there for relaxing, order some local cuisine and coconuts, then take a deep breath to refresh their mind and charge more positive energy.

One small notice that is explorers should wear elegant outfits like a long-skirt shirt, etc,. Furthermore, please, do not bring all kinds of food in the temple because visitors probably are attacked by monkeys. 

How to get there

There are several ways to reach the top of the mountain and Khao Lad temple. One is walking the stairs, the other is taking the road by taxi, tuk tuk or motorbike. Walking your way up the stairs will give you some very rewarding views of Hua Hin, North of Khao Takiab. On a clear day, you can see as far as Cha-Am beach.
