Lush tropical islands, dream beaches lined with shady palm trees, coral reefs with unique marine flora and fauna, caves and hidden lagoons, fishing villages with welcoming inhabitants, unspoiled natural parks, wooded hills, rubber plantations, or nature reserves, these are the promises that southern Thailand makes it a point of honor to respect. The “elephant trunk” stretches over 1200 kilometers from Bangkok to the border with Malaysia. Forested mountains dominate the interior of the country. The south is made up of 14 provinces, bordering the Gulf of Siam to the east and Myanmar and the Indian Ocean to the west.
