THAI SMILE AIRWAYS
Thai Smile Air is a Thai airline, a subsidiary of Thai Airways International, whose inaugural flight took place in July 2012.
Thai Airways’ intention is to launch a new low-cost subsidiary, able to compete with other low cost airlines. However, unlike the others, Thai Smile passengers are allowed to bring 20kg of carry-on baggage for free. They can also enjoy free snacks and beverages, and earn points on Thai Airways International’s Royal Orchid Plus frequent-flyer program.

Nok Air, founded on February 10, 2004, is the first low-cost Thai airline based at Bangkok’s Don Muang International Airport (DMK). Nok Air operates 30 destinations 30 aircraft.
The company uses the same aircraft and the same maintenance team as Thai Airways. The price of the ticket includes snack on board, 15 kg of luggage in the bunker, Wi-Fi at the airport, and choice of the seat. If passengers head to one of fifteen islands having no airport, a transfer by boat is also included in the ticket.
