  • Day 1: Chiang Rai City and Countryside

This morning, we start cycling through villages and rice fields along the river. During that, you will discover real Thai countryside and see local lifestyle on the outskirts of Chiang Rai province.

We cycle through orchards, rice fields, rubber plantations and teak trees. Hop off to visit the Wat Rong Khun and then have lunch at the local restaurant near the temple.

In the afternoon, we keep our way to visit Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park. This is the region’s largest center and exhibits a large collection of artistic items of Lanna culture or Tai culture.

Continue cycling through rice fields and many pineapple plantations.
Check-in hotel then you are free to relax.

  • Day 2: Chiang Rai – Elephant Care & Waterfall (B, L)

We start a day riding down the road to the Elephant Camp to take care of elephants and have fun with them. Continue cycling on another dirty road through the hill for 6 km.

We then stop and visit Huay Mae Sai waterfall – where you can enjoy swimming in a natural pool. This is a little-known but worthwhile sights to visit. We can reach some small ethnic villages near Huay Mae Sai waterfall along the winding road.

After enjoying a cool stream at the waterfall, we keep on pedal to the hotel in Pong Phra Bat village. The second night is spent at a beautiful resort.

  • Day 3: Chiang Saen and Golden Triangle (B, L)

This morning after installing a personal bike, we start cycling through small roads in Chiang Rai. While riding a bike, we explore Thailand’s authentic countryside and see the local lifestyle on the outskirts of Chiang Rai province.

On the way, we visit the Buddhist temple, where you can see many young monks in their unique costumes and the largest Buddha statue in Thailand. Continue through the orchards, rice fields and rubber, then have lunch at a local restaurant on the way to the ancient town of Chiang Saen.

In the afternoon, travel by car to the Golden Triangle area and spend time visiting many attractions. This is the place where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar are together along the Mekong River.

We will visit the Opium Museum and learn about the history of drug trafficking here. A long-tailed boat trip on Mekong River for a beautiful view of the Golden Triangle is a must-see.

We can stop for dinner on the way back to the hotel in Chiang Saen.

  • Day 4: Chiang Saen – Chiang Khong (B, L)

After breakfast, we drive the car along Mekong River and experience how farmers grow tobacco, corn, cabbage, garlic, etc. The countryside includes rolling hills, some steep hills.

The last 13 km is more challenging with some steep but short ascents. The road connects to the main road right in front of Chiang Khong entry.

After lunch, you have free time to wander around the area yourself.

  • Day 5: Chiang Khong – Chiang Rai (B)

After breakfast, we travel by car to the starting point away from Chiang Khong about 20 km and start cycling through the beautiful countryside watching orchards and fields. We drive back to Chiang Rai in the late afternoon.
