This tour invites you on an 11-day adventure across Thailand, where you’ll be fully immersed in the country’s vibrant culture and rich history. Commencing in Bangkok, you’ll explore the bustling city before embarking on a journey towards Ayutthaya, Phitsanuloke, and beyond.

As the tour progresses, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the historical ruins of Sukhothai, visit picturesque towns such as Phayao and Chiang Rai, and explore the Golden Triangle. You’ll also travel to the mountainous region of Mae Salong, venture into Doi Inthanon National Park, and meet the Hmong and Karen Hilltribes.

The tour’s adventure continues as you visit the remote Forest Cottage and the stunning Ob Luang Canyon. You’ll also witness the grandeur of the Doi Suthep temple and meet more Hilltribes before the tour concludes in Chiang Mai.

Full Itinerary

  • Day 1: Bangkok arrival

    Warmly welcome you on arrival at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport. We will pick you up with a comfortable vehicle to the center of Bangkok to check-in your hotel, then take your time to have a rest after a long flight.

  • Day 2: Bangkok city (B)

    Today, we will take the whole day to explore Bangkok – the city of golden temples.
    The first destination is the Grand Palace. This huge architecture complex is over 2 sq. kilometers, including 3 main sites: Royal Palace, Royal Office and pagodas (Wat) built in 1770s. Nowadays, the Grand Palace is no longer home of Thailand Royal, most of national significant events takes place there. Wat Phra Kaew is the most out-standing architecture in complex, built in 1785 when King Rama I moved the capital to Bangkok. The pagoda is famous not only for its beauty of unique Thailand Buddhism architecture but also for the sacred jade Buddha statue.
    Nearby Grand Palace is Wat Pho – the oldest and biggest pagoda in Bangkok with more than 1000 Buddha statues and the huge one sit-back Buddha in gold.
    After having lunch by your own account, we visit the last destination of the day: Wat Traimit. This pagoda is famous for its unique and historic beauty, and also for the huge golden Buddha statue. Thai people believe that the statue represents for prosperity and purity, as well as strength and power.We will board on a boat to pay a visit along the Chao Phraya River, watching the life of local people close by. On route, we stop at Wat Arun, known as the most beautiful pagoda in Bangkok not only for its location on the Chao Phraya’s riverbank but also for the different architecture from other pagodas. The pagoda was decorated with glass pieces and Chinese ceramic, in a complicated style.

    Return to the hotel and you are free to explore Bangkok by night.

  • Day 3: Bangkok - Ayutthaya – Phitsanuloke (B)

    After breakfast we head to explore some sites of Ayutthaya Historical Park, situated in the old city of Ayutthaya, the park was recognized as World’s Heritage Site by UNESCO. The park included of a visit to below sites 
    Wat Phu Khao Thong is a massive pagoda towering in the middle of paddy fields and can be seen from afar. There is a high golden plated chedi on the top, which makes the pagoda outstanding.
    Wat Phra Sri Sanphet was the most important temple of Ayutthaya and situated within the Ayutthaya Grand Palace grounds. The highlight of Wat Phra Sri Sanphet is 3 towers standing high together in Ceylonese style
    Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit is the pagoda in which the bronze Buddha statue in the attitude of subduing Mara is situated. This is one of the biggest Buddha statue in Thailand.
    Wat Lokaya Sutha is considered as the sacred place for pilgrims since it’s famous for the reclining Buddha statue, which is the statue of the Blessed Buddha intact compared to other monuments in the entire Ayutthaya ruins.
    After lunch, continue the trip to Phitsanuloke. Upon arrival we will start to visit Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat, which is best known and frequented by Buddhists who sometimes come from far and wide on pilgrimage for his Buddha Chinnarat, one of the most revered in Thailand. If time permits, explore the folklore museum Pim Buranaket. Overnight at Phitsanulok.

  • Day 4: Phitsanuloke – Sukhothai – Lampang (B)

    After breakfast we depart for Sukothai for one hour driving and visit Sukhothai Historical Park. Then continuing the trip to Lampang on the scenic route with visit to the magnificent Wat Phra That Lampang Luangthe best-known temple in Lambang. Whereas some temples have been restored using modern materials and modern building techniques, the Wat Phra That Lampang Luang has been preserved in its original state. We then spend 30 minutes for a horse-drawn carriage trip. Overnight at the hotel in Lampang.

  • Day 5: Lampang – Phayao- Chiang Rai – City tour (B)

    After breakfast we depart for Sukothai for one hour driving and visit Sukhothai Historical Park. Then continuing the trip to Lampang on the scenic route with visit to the magnificent Wat Phra That Lampang Luangthe best-known temple in Lambang. Whereas some temples have been restored using modern materials and modern building techniques, the Wat Phra That Lampang Luang has been preserved in its original state.   • Day 6: Chiang Rai - Mae Salong - Golden Triangle(B)

    After breakfast we continue the trip by heading to the northern Thailand – a wooded, mountainous and beautiful area. This morning, you will explore the surroundings and the first road you will take is the one that leads to Mae Salong. Climb up and down the green hills, covered with tea plantations. Here, you will get chance tasting the delicious tea produced by one of the many plantations of the region, before continuing your way towards the Golden Triangle. From Doi Mae Salong, we will visit two villages of ethnic minorities: the village Akah of Loyo, and the village Lisu of Ban Hanygo.
    Afterwards we will visit the Mae Fah Luang botanical garden. Overnight in Chiang Saen.

  • Day 7: Golden Triangle – Chiang Mai (B)

    In the morning we will visit the Museum of Opium. Then we board a long tail boat to the Lao side and see from the top of the hill, marvel at the splendor of the mighty Mekong joining with the Ruak and forming the actual “Triangle” with Laos – Myanmar and Thailand. Transfer to Chiang Mai for your overnight.

  • Day 8: Chiang Mai - Doi Inthanon National Park - Nature Walk - Hmong & Karen Hilltribes (B, L, D)

    Pick up from a hotel in Chiang Mai and drive about a half and an hour to Doi Inthanon National park, passing through various villages, rice fields and orchards. Explore the summit, and visit to the visitor’s center Nature walk at Ang Ka nature trail near the summit. Here you will see tall trees cloaked in moss, fern, orchid and other epiphytes, especially “Sphagnum Moss” and Rhododendron. Then go down to twin Royal Pagodas: Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Naphaphon Bhumisiri for lunch. Afterward hiking on Kiew Mae Pan nature trail for about 3 hrs. Finish hiking, drive down to visit Hmong Fruits & Flowers Market before check-in at Karen Ecolodge in the Karen terrace rice field. The remaining time will be your own leisure or you can hike to visit Karen Village (about a half an hour) to see their fruit & coffee orchards and observe their still primitive lifestyle. Dinner and overnight in huts at the Karen Ecolodge or Nature Lodge in the park

  • Day 9: Back to Chiang Mai – Freeday at leisure (B)

    This day you will transfer back to Chiang Mai for relaxation. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

  • Day 10: Chiang Mai - Discover Tribal Villages & Artisans Experience (B,L)

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Morning, we transfer to visit the the Long-neck Karen village at Mae Rim area. Women from this small population are known worldwide for wearing rings around their neck to elongate it. In the past, it was a protection from tiger attacks, today it’s considered a symbol of beauty and modern day accessory. Visit another hilltribes with elephant camp in the same area.

    Lunch at local restaurant.

    Afternoon, transfer to visit the silver temple at Wat Srisuphan in Chiang Mai showcases traditional Lanna silversmith skills. It is also known as the Silver Temple because the entire surface of the temple, inside and out, is being covered in sparkling silver handcrafted decoration. Originally built around 1500 Wat Sri Suphan is also one of the oldest temples in Chiang Mai. On the way stop to visit Craft Village at San Kamphaeng to see the center of Thai handicraft production, a village heavy with heritage and skills that have been passed down through generations. 

    The transfer back to hotel in Chiang Mai. Overnight in Chiang Mai. arecrows, ridding weeds in the paddy fields, and demonstrating rice pouring from the watermill

  • Day 11: Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep – Departure (B)

    Today we will embark on a tour with a visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep where the relics of Buddha are kept and Meo Hilltribe village. We leave our hotel to our first destination of Doi Suthep Moutain. You then exercise yourself by ascending the 306 steps to the temple. However, it is very well worth the effort. A bird’s eye view of the entire city and the surrounding areas can be seen from the temple grounds.

    Then you will transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End services.
