History of Asia Sustainable Academy

Anke and Aoi fell in love and shared a passion for leading sustainable, environmentally friendly lives after meeting in 2006 on the lovely island of Koh Lanta. The two bought a 1.5-acre parcel of Koh Lanta’s tropical rainforest in 2009, where they set up the tent and planted bamboo. They constructed their first bamboo and clay house with running water and electricity while camping. They started living a life of freedom and reverence for nature the moment they set foot inside their creation.

What is ASALANTA?

Lanta is the name of the tropical island where we are located, and ASA stands for Asian Sustainability Academy. It’s a well-known brand that expresses our zeal.

In actuality,  ASALANTA is a tiny, earthen town tucked away in a bamboo forest, surrounded by a mountain stream. The unique bamboo bathing experience, however, allows you to fully immerse yourself in nature and be inspired.

Scientific research has shown that bamboo soaking can heal the mind, body, and soul. Its numerous advantages include lowering stress levels and blood pressure, improving immunity, preventing obesity, quickening the healing process after illness, and releasing your creative mind. By establishing a connection with nature during this process, benefits to mental, physical, and spiritual welfare are produced.
