Location: A little community called Lanta Old Town can be situated in the Krabi Province on Ko Lanta’s East Coast. The Old Town of Ko Lanta served as the island’s port and commercial hub for a very long time.

It also served as a secure harbor for Chinese and Arabic trading ships traveling between the island’s larger ports of Phuket, Penang, and Singapore.

Old Town Lanta was a coastal gypsy community. It evolved into a trade-influenced village over the years.
