The river divides Laos and Thailand, before a stretch passing through Laos alone. What is special about the River Kwai?

It is famous for its WWII history, including the bridge and the Death Railway, and for green scenery with waterfalls such as Erawan. Kanchanaburi is about two to three hours from Bangkok.

Can I add a boat trip to any tour?
